ACCA-Greater Houston
"Call to Arms"
TOGETHER
WE STAND / DIVIDED WE FALL
The
local HVAC industry now finds
itself in a position of
fighting a giant. Reliant
Energy has begun to use their
logo
not only in the transmission of
electricity and gas to
homes
and businesses, but also for the
purpose of establishing
their new retail operations,
which includes the
solicitation of
sales & service of A/C
equipment.
Some
of us understand that Reliant
Energy - Retail is not
"The Light Company",
however the public is not aware
of
any differences. The common
thought is any solicitation by
Reliant Energy is a solicitation
by the local utility. When
HL&P and Entex changed their
corporate name, huge
amounts of monies were spent to
make the public aware
that the new name of the local
utility company is Reliant
Energy. Now the retail side of
the expenditure has immediate
name recognition and perceived
consumer confidence.
Join
us for a Town Meeting to fight
the Goliath. We want
Reliant Energy to stop using the
Reliant Energy logo to
attract and service the air
conditioning of retail
customers
at the expense of small
businesses.
Everyplace
where unfair competition has been
fought
there has been a victory. Only apathy has resulted in a
loss.
Join
us for a town Meeting.
Have a say in your future!
